Within the span of a few short years the Web has emerged as a dominant global communications medium.  It has ushered in tremendous growth in the exchange of information and ideas, provided new ways to interact, and created vast new opportunities.

As a communications medium the Web can serve many purposes. It is unrivaled in its ability to convey all forms of traditional media including text, graphics, audio, and video… true multimedia. It also allows for great content capacity and therefore exceeds the constraints often associated with traditional media such as the size or length of advertisements or the prohibitive production costs of printed materials. It is powerful and yet like all tools, must be well understood and utilized such that the desired outcomes are realized.

A typical project encompasses a number of phases and while each project is unique, there are generally common elements which apply.

Phase 1 – Discovery

Phase 2 – Site Definition

Phase 3 – Architecture and Content

Phase 4 – Design

Phase 5 – Build & Test

Phase 6 – Launch

Phase 7 – Marketing and Promotion

Phase 8 – Evaluation and Maintenance
